Your first food stop will be at a "Forno", an Italian bakery where you will taste savory or sweet baked goods like biscotti and espresso. Next, explore the Sant’Ambrogio market, a local market frequently visited by Florentines and get an in-depth understanding of the way locals buy, eat and cook food. Martina will introduce you to her favored vendors that will show you the best of their wares (that you can sample) and provide advice on the right way to cook food, an interaction that is an important part of Italian food culture. After that you will enter an old trattoria, famous for their traditional Tuscan soups. Martina knows the owner personally so you can expect a very charismatic Florentine man to share funny stories along with your soup and a glass of Chianti.
