    On this tour, you will be exploring Jerusalem's diverse ethnic, religious communities - through their bread. Along with Shira venture into ultra-Orthodox neighborhoods, visit East Jerusalem and discover some of Machane Yehuda Market's best bakeries and breads. While you might be surprised at how close these very different quarters are, this tour does involve some walking so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. As we'll be visiting religious neighborhoods, please be conscious of local sensitivities and mind your attire: elbows and especially knees should be covered, and it is recommended to refrain from bright colors. You will be sampling bread and pastries along the way, so it is recommended not to eat too much before the tour! This bread tour experience will start and end at the Machane Yehuda Market.

What to Expect

    Come visit a third-generation, family-owned vineyard located in midst of historical Pompeii, just steps from the city's ruins. Margherita’s family has been in the hospitality business for decades. Realizing a long-held dream of her grandfather, the family opened their family winery two years ago. Everyone who is working at the winery is a cousin, relative or close friend of the family. Join Margherita, or if she is unavailable one of her colleagues, for a tour of their vineyards and winery followed by a lunch and wine tasting in their beautiful winery café, all located just a 10-minute walk from the historic Pompeii ruins. • Private Pompeii Wine Tour and Tasting in a Historic Winery • Learn about (and taste!) their Experimental Wine aged in Terra Cotta pots, prepared just as the Romans did over 2,000 years ago • Lunch and a Wine Tasting led by a Trained Sommelier • For your Lunch, enjoy a Four Course meal in the Winery Café • Vegetarian options available, on request
