Private Guided Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve Day Trip

Duration

clock12 hours

Overview

On this tour, we head out from Toronto to the Parry Sound area which is a perfect launch point to discover this freshwater wilderness, towering pines and distinctive rock formations of the Canadian Shield. You will be met by a UNESCO Georgian Bay Biosphere guide for a shoreline hike. Choose the Rugged Trail, an easy-to moderately challenging path that winds along iconic Georgian Bay coastline or pick the Waterfront Trail which offers equally impressive sights, but is a less challenging route.

After the hike, a visit to the Museum on Tower Hill will provide you with historical knowledge of the town of Parry Sound. This tour concludes with a delicious lunch of local flavours and craft beverage looking towards the historic trestle bridge on the Seguin River. Optional activities in the afternoon include a kayaking on a quiet inland lake, a fishing charter on Georgian Bay, a float plane trip over the archipelago, or an Indigenous cultural craft experience.
