Meet the guide at the hotel lobby and move together to the closest station to reach Takayama. There, you will visit Takayama Jinya, the former government office where the town was administrated in feudal times, and Kami Sannomachi, three parallel streets that still maintain the appearance of the Edo period.
After spending the night in Takayama, on the second day you will take a bus to Shirakawago to travel back in time: this village dates back to hundreds of years ago and has managed to escape the modernization of Japan. In the afternoon you will reach Kanazawa by bus, where you will visit Kenroku-en, one of Japan's top three gardens, and Nomura House, the former residence of a Samurai family. The tour will end with the check-in at your hotel in Kanazawa, where you will spend the night before proceeding to your next destination in Japan.
