Descending into the world-famous caves marvel at the thousands of tiny glow worms and the wondrous display as they radiate their luminescent lights.
Leaving Tauranga Port we travel through New Zealand’s best farmland, horse studs, and hydro dams – plenty to see on this trip!
Your cave guide will take you on a magical boat ride on the underground river through prehistoric caves that resemble a fairytale world as you silently glide through the starry wonderland. You will view ancient stalactites, stalagmites, and eroded columns. Your guide brings you up close to glowworms, elaborate cave formations, and underground rivers.
On the return journey, we stop at Otorohanga to view our iconic national bird, the Kiwi at the Otorohanga bird sanctuary:
