Overview

    Begin in Windsor, where your private guide will tell you the highlights from its thousand-year history. Then enter the Castle where you will tour the State Apartments, and see St. George’s Hall, where larger than life banquets are held. See the intricately decorated staterooms, stunning suits of armour, and weaponry as well as the flawless grounds and gardens. Another highlight will be St George’s Chapel - where numerous weddings within the Royal family have occurred and where famous monarchs are buried. Then leave Windsor and enter the town of Eton. See the exterior of Eton College (not open to the public). Enjoy popping your head into the array of different antique, art and simply quirky independent shops.

What to Expect

    Enjoy a fascinating guided tour of Windsor Castle, the largest and oldest working royal castle in the world, and Eton, where Prince William and Harry went to school, on this full-day trip. Explore the beautiful grounds of this castle - which was first built in 1070, and the medieval gothic St George's Chapel, where many royal baptisms, weddings and funerals have taken place over the centuries: most recently it is where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were married, and where the late Queen Elizabeth II's funeral ended. Visit the State Apartments (with an audioguide included), and see St. George’s Hall, the grand reception room, the Queen's drawing room and the Waterloo chamber where royal investitures and banquets are held. After lunch in Windsor, explore the quaint town of Eton and see the famed Eton College (not open to the public) where princes William and Harry went to school.
