The tour takes you past Art Nouveau houses, into the English Garden criss-crossed by watercourses, through the streets where German bohemians found the material for their literary texts, to the lively Leopoldstrasse, the promenade between Siegestor and Münchener Freiheit with its rows of restaurants and cafes. Dreamy corners such as Wedekind's fountain or the registry office on Mandlstraße alternate with modern eye-catchers such as the transparent new building of the Academy of Fine Arts or the acrylic "Walking Man" between the poplars.
