Overview

At 9:30 am we will head to one of the most colorful and charming towns in Antioquia: Guatapé. On the road, we will enjoy a traditional breakfast.

Then, we will pass through El Peñol until we reach the replica of the old Peñol. There, we will have the opportunity to admire the colonial style of its houses and enjoy a majestic view over the dam.

Next, we will visit La Piedra del Peñol. We will have one hour to climb the 740 steps which lead to the summit of the monolith and contemplate the impressive 360º view of the surrounding landscape.

After having a typical lunch, at 2:00 pm we will enjoy a relaxing boat trip through the dam, from which we will see the ruins of Pablo Escobar’s vacation home and Casa Museo.

To conclude, we will visit Guatapé, known for its decorative tiles adorning the lower facade of its houses. A local guide will show us its most emblematic places and culture and then you will be able to explore it on your own.
