Sevan is one of the most beautiful landmarks in Armenia and it is an absolute must-see when you are traveling in Caucasian region. Being situated at the height of 1,900 meters above the sea level, Sevan is the largest freshwater body in Armenia. Because of its beauty, Sevan is often referred to blue pearl of Armenia.
Yet another remarkable landmark is Sevanavank monastery. It is located at the top of a hill. There you will explore the two ancient churches of Surp Arakelots and Surp Astvatsatsin, originating from 9th century. From the top of the hill you will be able to enjoy panoramic 360° view of lake Sevan.
