Overview

    Because of COVID-19 we have taken special hygiene measures. Each vehicle has a plastic screen, is disinfected before each journey and our drivers are trained and provide appropriate materials to ensure social distancing measures are met with all passengers.
    Enjoy a private tour to the great Dutch windmills and see the last working windmill in the world who can produce paint. Rembrandt the great artist bought his paint here at this windmill.
    After the windmills your driver will bring you to a local cheese and clogs factory where you will see how the Dutch people made clogs in the past. Here is apossibility to tast cheese, buy cheese or clogs. After this stop your driver will bring you to the picturesque Volendam with his nice harbor and great Ijsselmeer lake. There is a possibility to have a nice lunch and to buy souvenirs. Here you will take the ferry to Marken over the nice Ijsselmeer lake and in Marken you will see houses on wooden posts. Your driver will meet you in Marken.

What to Expect

    Enjoy a sightseeing tour to the windmills, the countryside, a local cheese and clogs factory, Volendam and Marken. You will visit a unique Dutch park called the Zaanse Schans not far from Amsterdam. Here are the most special windmills of The Netherlands such as the paint windmill, the sawmill, spices mill and peanut oil. Thereafter you will see how we make the original Dutch clogs and there is a possibility to buy clogs/wooden shoes and souvenirs. The second stop will be at the Henri Willig farm where they will teach you how they treat their cows and there is a possibility to see how they milk the cows and you can see and touch the baby cows. Thereafter it is time to taste more than 30 types of very nice Dutch cheese for free! Your next stop will be Volendam and Marken where you can lunch in one of the best fish restaurants in town, buy some very nice Dutch waffles or enjoy the nice Harbor of Volendam. Duration of the tour will be 6.5 hours, pick up and drop off is in Amsterdam.
