The carnival of Rio de Janeiro happens since 1892, being considered the largest carnival in the world by the Book of Records. Idealized from 1999, the City of Samba was built to house all carnival preparation of the Samba Schools of Rio. The complex has an area of 130 thousand m², where are the barracks of 12 schools. In this route, you will visit the space of the Academicians of the Great River, who in 2006, 2007 and 2010 was runner-up of the Carnival Special Group.
