Overview

    An unforgettable trip to discover Dominican culture and the lifestyle of the locals, this mountain safari will entertain all your senses. Get ready to take incredible photos of the wonderful Dominican landscape and typical local mountain villages.

    On this exciting trip you’ll visit a sugar cane field where you’ll see a traditional trapiche mill and learn how delicious Dominican rum is made; you can also roll unique large Dominican cigars. Next you’ll go for a horse ride then cross the western mountains to a typical local home where you can try delicious organic coffee, cocoa and tropical fruit.

    Enjoy a delicious Dominican buffet at the top of Anamuya mountain. Bring an end to the day with a panoramic view of the Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia Cathedral, the most important in the country, and you can even take in the spectacular Bayahibe beach.

What to Expect

    On board the comfortable safari truck, we head to the “Rancho Limón” where we will enjoy a delicious coffee, roasted and prepared in a traditional style. Afterwards, we set off on a fantastic and unforgettable horse or mule ride along a steep, stony mud path, past rivers and mountains and through a dense and humid tropical forest. Salto del Limón, located in a protected area, is a 40 m (approx.) waterfall that culminates in a pool of crystal clear water. We will enjoy a refreshing dip in the water at the foot of the waterfall. The scenery around Limón is beautiful with small wooden houses painted in bright colours. Note: Not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Not advisable for pregnant women.
