Overview

Salem is one of the favorite tourist cities on the coast of New England, Massachusetts. During a sightseeing tour in Salem, you can find out that the city was founded in the first half of the 17th century by fishermen. It received its name in honor of biblical Jerusalem.

At the end of the 17th century, Salem became the center of the fight against ... "witches."

Stage sets, life-size props, special lighting and expert narrations provide a riveting account of the 1692 Witch Trials.

Visitors can also learn about the evolving perception of witches through the ages. This provocative exhibit depicts stereotypical beliefs about witches, the phenomenon of witch-hunts and various aspects of 17th century witchcraft as well as its modern day practices.
