An extensive wilderness and a site of industrial archaeology at 15 km from Cagliari, within a still-operational plant, combine to tell the story of salt, complete with vintage backdrops, immersive projections and a route encompassing salt pans, mountains of “white gold” and wild fauna.
The ticket includes a self guided tour of the historical buildings and a guided tour on a little train through the saltworks. Colours and production of salts vary from season to season. The visit last usually 2 hours included 1 hour on the train.
Saline Conti Vecchi were entrusted to FAI (The National Trust for Italy) on a loan-for-use basis by Ing. Luigi Conti Vecchi SpA (Syndial Eni) in 2017.
Please, note that people with disability and FAI memembers are free of charge.
There are no public transport for the Saline Conti Vecchi. Private transfer available at agreed price. Parking free of charge.
