A unique place in a unique context, the San Fruttuoso Abbey is set in a little bay between Camogli and Portofino and reachable only by boat or by a 2 hours walk. The Benedectine Abbey has been constructed in the 10th Century and its history is really special: from a monastery to the fishermen's home and tombs of the Princes of Doria. Donated to the Italian Heritage Trust, FAI Fondo Ambiente Italiano, today the Abbey is worth an excursion. You can visit the monastery, the tower, the tombs. Souvenir shop, restaurants and beach are available.
