If you are an art lover, the Borghese is definitely a "can't miss." The collection is superb, and the building itself is a work of art: each room lavishly, painstakingly decorated to convey a theme: look closely at some of the amazing trompe l'oeil. Michelangelo's "David" in Florence" 2nd best to Bernini's version!
Being able to walk around a sketch with your own hand some of these masterpieces is a unique experience that will be the highlight of your vacation in the Eternal City. The museum only lets in a certain amount of people in per 2 hours, so it's also a nice break from the crowds.

What to Expect
Join us for two hours of sketching in one of Rome's most famous art galleries. No artist defined 17th-century Rome more than Gian Lorenzo Bernini did, working under nine popes and leaving an indelible mark on the Eternal City.
And there is probably no better place to appreciate his talent and genius than the Borghese Gallery in Rome, the villa — now a museum.
We will take you through this unique collection , breathtaking and a "must see" for your journey in the Eternal City. The pieces that we will sketch are some of Bernini's most emotive and most famous. Tear inducing to some, but inspirational to all. The word "masterpiece" is not strong enough. Daphne and Apollo , the Rape of Persephone. On our journey we will stop, learn and sketch them all!
2 hours will fly by, and at the end you'll leave with some great history, some cool sketches, and a wonderful experience exploring the world of the Borghese Gallery.
