At 7:30 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel by an experienced driver accompanied by a professional guide. Located 170 km north of Agadir and 170 km west of Marrakech, the medina of Essaouira—also known as "Mogador" to the Portuguese—was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2001. Hosting the GNAWA Music Festival every year since 1998, this city boasts not only food products (especially seafood) and leather industries but also breathtaking sights like “flying goats” climbing arganes trees for fresh nuts.
You will have free time to explore MEDINA while admiring its old wells and cannons from the 17th century and take in views of its quays before visiting its ancient fortress with Portuguese architectural influences. Stroll through the white houses adorned with blue doors and windows to get a glimpse into how locals live before wandering through its market.
