The Carraresi, the Scaligeri, the Visconti, the Este, are some of the famous lords who contended for its possession, whose spirits are still said to hover in the rooms of the ancient manor. We will then walk along what has been described as the most beautiful promenade in the Veneto, Via del Santuario, with its villas, its famous Seven Churches, which are reminiscent of the Seven Basilicas of Rome and are still a popular pilgrimage destination for devotees from all over Europe.
