Tanukikoji is an approximately 1km-long arcade with around 200 shops that runs east to west in downtown Sapporo that has been in operation since the frontier period. It’s a great place to buy Hokkaido souvenirs !
Nijo Fish Market is a market with over 100 years of history that 15 fisheries and fishmongers selling that day’s catch ! The array of seafood on display, including crabs and hokke (Okhotsk atka mackerel), also makes for a feast for the eyes.
