-(Shibamata) Shibamata is the name of district in eastern Tokyo. Taishakuten temple is famous spot in the district. There are traditional shops selling rice crackers, sweet dumplings made from rice flour, Japanese picklus on the street. The street reachs to the temple. When you reaches the end of the approach, you will see the Nitenmon Gate. It is decorated with detailed carvings.
Many people visit Yamamoto residence from Japan and overseas. Yamamoto residence is unique in its combination of shoin-zukuri and Western-style architecture, and the elegant garden. The living room displays characteristic shoin design elements such as a set of staggered shelves and "Shoji", paper screen doors admitting light. The garden consists trees, a pond, and a waterfall.
