Overview

Backwash Surf Morocco offers a tailored approach to your surfing, with personalized sessions focused solely on you. We modify our advice based on your strengths and weaknesses, and can change the spot to give you the challenge that you seek. Everyone wanting to surf in Imsouane desires to ride the Magic Bay - considered as the longest wave in Morocco - which is perfect for both longboarders and shortboarders from fall through winter due to larger swells. There are generally three peaks at this location; we will move around depending on your skill level: intermediate surfers can also try out nearby Cathedral Spot, while advanced riders can learn about techniques, styles and manoeuvres from our gold medal-winning coach specialising in shortboarding. Above all else, we hope to share with you the love, passion and respect for the ocean while teaching and accompanying you during your surfing journey.

What To Expect

Itinerary

Every coach is sure of your aptitude to refine your surfing, and will direct you through it.
We'll begin the first session with you in the water, recognizing your talents, form, flaws and the type of wave you need to learn/practice with. If desired we'll provide you with material and equipment advice. For the subsequent sessions sometimes we'll be in the water together, other times watching from land by way of walkie-talkie.

At the end of each session we'll review what was done well, missed chances, and what needs strengthening. If coaching from land was taking place, we'll analyze photos and videos of your session jointly. Depending on your practice and performance, we'll provide exercises for you to do at home so as to train your body and develop a few movements for future rides.
