    Visit Sweden and see Lund & Malmö on this day tour to the core of Southern Sweden. Your local guide takes you around and tells you all about these twin towns, each other's contrasts and compliments.

    Lund's great past once made it more Danish than Copenhagen and is today the town of wisdom. Your guide will tell you about the Vikings, who founded the town 1000 years ago. See the University and the goofy student events that defines Lund today. The guide will also show you the old Cathedral, once the most powerful place in Northern Europe.

    In Malmö you visit the acclaimed Food Court, giving you plenty of options for lunch, such as Swedish meatballs. Your guide then gives you a walking tour of this every changing town and its unsentimental ways. You learn how you can get rich by bad book-keeping, what the Koreans mean by “The tears of Malmö” and see the landmark Turning Torso.

    After the tour you have the option to stay in Malmö and explore it further in your own pace, or return directly.

What to Expect

    The guide will meet you at Malmö Central Station to board our air-conditioned bus. We are a small group of 6 people who will take us to Lund. Arriving in Lund, we learn about the Vikings, who founded the town more than a thousand years ago, and see several of their monumental Rune Stones. This is followed by looking at part of the University and the goofy student events that the entire place centres on today. We finish off Lund by a visit to the mediaeval Lund cathedral, once the seat of the largest Christian archdiocese in the world, before we head off to Malmö. There you have lunch at your restaurant of choice in Malmö Saluhall, itself a landmark. After lunch we hear the story of Malmö, a place that is the constant underdog. Malmö painstakingly works its way up to be wealthy and important, only to crash as the rug is pulled from beneath its feet, for the process to start all over again. Read more on our website.
