As you arrive to Ephesus, you will be greeted with the Magnesia Gate, an incredible example of old architecture that was once used as an entrance into the city. With your guide, take a walk downhill through the ruins and pass by places such as the Odeon, Celsus Library, Temple of Hadrian, Fountain of Trajan and Great Theater. The theater is still widely recognized today for its part in hosting festivals and is said to be where St. Paul preached to the people of Ephesus. It can seat up to 24 thousand people!

Stop At: Ephesus Terrace Houses, Selcuk 35148 Turkiye

Opposite the Temple of Hadrian lies The Terrace Houses - a complex containing villas which were formerly occupied by middle-class citizens and wealthier ones. Each house had separate entrances from outside along with running water access inside them. Inside one Domus (a two-storeyed building) there exists a courtyard, dining room and even a Basilica; some residences also contain preserved rooms with paintings and ornamental floor mosaics.
