Tastings, Culture and Countryside: Champagne Region Day Tour

Duration

clock8 hours

Overview

Begin your tour with a guided visit of the fabulous, famous G.H. Mumm champagne house (or similar). Since 1827, the vast cellars have cradled up to 25 million bottles of the finest champagne, and you lucky visitor will have the chance to sample a glass. Next, your tour guide will help you discover Reims city center and its monumental gothic cathedral, the location of many a coronation. It’ll then be time to grab a bite to eat at a French bistro, take some free time to stroll and explore the city. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Nicolas Feuillatte cooperative (or similar) to learn all about the magical process of creating champagne. Since no champagne tour is complete without tasting the fruits of their labor, you’ll enjoy a delicious flute. Feeling full of French culture, history and bubbly, you’ll be dropped off at Epernay's train station to return back to Reims, possibly feeling slightly light-headed (your guide will provide your train ticket directly at the train station).
