The Atlantic coast from Sevilla to Faro

Duration

clock8 days

Overview

Here in the south we are famous for our Mediterranean coast. However we also have our shared Atlantic coast with Portugal. With this seven-day route in short and manageable sections our idea is to take you from Seville and the Guadalquivir River that flows into the Atlantic, to Faro which is a coastal town in Portugal. This is only a small sample of the long atlantic coastline, but we think it is the perfect balance between discovering by bicycle and a relaxed holiday.

You leave Seville in the wrong direction, to the northwest, to link up with the beautiful and quiet Green Corridor of the Guadiamar River, north to south. You will start to see the coastal scenery as you get closer to the Doñana National Park. From the village of El Rocío you will make contact with the coast and thus so on to Faro passing through coastal towns, the capital of Huelva and the border ferry between Spain and Portugal. We have chosen greenways and cycle paths where ever it is possible so that you enjoy a relaxed ride. With these short stages you will always have time to stop, visit and rest.
