The steep peaks of the Sierra Nevada del Cocuy, make up the highest heights of the Eastern Cordillera of the Andes. The landscape before these white mountains is indescribable.
This mountain range is also an immense reserve of water that consists of 18 snow-capped peaks and 14 temporary snow-capped mountains according to the time of year, as well as of exuberant virgin forests in its eastern part, on the way to the foothills of the plains.
