Duration

Overview

At the agreed time, a member of our staff will meet you at the hotel to take you through the Bogota´s Savanna to the nearby town of Nemocón, a quite
village with colonial architecture. You´ll visit it´s salt mine descending to 80 meters underground. There, you´ll appreciate the 28 mirrors of brine, in which
rocks of salt were dissolved producing an impressive optical effect. In addition, you´ll find a stone of 1,300 Kg symbolizing the world, a salt´s crystal of
1,600 Kg. carved in the shape of a heart by the artist Miguel Sanchez and some stalactites and stalagmites. The tour continues to the town of Zipaquira
where you´ll have a stop to enjoy a delicious typical lunch. After the lunchtime, we´ll take you to the Salt Cathedral. The Cathedral was built in an
underground salt deposit at 180 mtrs below the surface where a Chapel is. This enclosure is considered the first wonder of Colombia and an
architectonic jewel of the modernity. Return to Bogota.
