Theyyam is the dance of gods, a ritual art that is performed in the sacred temples of in the Northern Malabar regions. It bears roots mainly in the Kolathunadu region in the Kannur- Kasaragod area.
The Tyndis Theyyam Tour takes the guests along with the annual performance of Theyyam in the Sacred Groves of North Kerala, showcasing the enchanting dancing of the gods with enigmatic rituals!
Local Storytellers passionate and having deep knowledge about the folklores and Theyyam stories will accompany the guests to the Theyyam Performances. Storytellers will make the tour informative with stories regarding the divine dance and the divinization of local legends in the past. The storytelling will take the guests along the bygone era of Kolathunadu and the Chirakkal Kingdoms that flourished in North Malabar.
Note - Theyyam is a seasonal ritual and the availability depends on the Schedule of Theyyam Calendar. The location of the Theyyam changes every time.
