Explore the Amazon rainforest on a 3-day jungle adventure tour from Manaus. With a local guide, cross the Rio Negro on a speedboat and arrive at accommodation in the jungle, near the village of Paricatuba, on board a motorized canoe. Paddle a canoe through the small tributaries of the Negro River to fish for piranhas. Leave after dark to see alligators and other night owls in the jungle. Walk through the forest with a nature guide to learn about medicinal plants and their traditional uses. Learn traditional farming methods during a visit to a local indigenous tribe, the Caboclos.
The itinerary includes hiking in the jungle with camping, piranha fishing and alligator spotting. The tours may or may not occur as they depend on favorable weather conditions.
