Overview

In this "A house made of books", the Portuguese writer José Saramago spent most of his last 18 years. It is here, in Lanzarote, where he lived and worked when he received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1998. The visit includes housing, the garden and the fantastic library with more than 15,000 books. We are accompanied by passionate guides and an audio guide whispers in our ears an endearing text written by Saramago's wife, Pilar del Río. The immersion in this literary universe is developed by savoring step house, gradually entering the world of this exceptional artist and committed citizen.
