This tourist attraction has gained national and international importance because the mud baths in this volcano are recognized as beneficial to the health of the body because the components of the mud contain salts and minerals that help relax it, exfoliate the skin and according to many permanent visitors, to improve health and cure different ailments.
The pink sea is caused by a natural phenomenon derived from the high concentration of saline in the waters. When the rain falls, the drops of water break the granules of salt and create this phenomenon. Likewise, the sea has halophilic microalgae that produce beta carotene, creating environments of high salinity and luminosity.
