Anuradhapura is the first kingdom, (a UNESCO World Heritage site) the first capital of Sri Lanka dated 500CE, and also 2500 Years ago Prince Siddhartha Gautama sat under the Bodhi ( Bo ) tree and meditated. He cleansed his mind and attained enlightenment, thus earning the title Buddha, the Enlightened One.
also, Anuradhapura is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and Mihintale is the oldest sanctuary in the world.
- I will pick up you, and greet from a hotel near Anuradhapura (In a 25km radius).
- We will start from Sacred Bo Tree, Ruwanweliseya stupa, Lowamahapaya, Lovamahapaya, Isurumuniya temple and more places.
- Authentic Sri Lankan Lunch or other lunch options (Will have to pay separately)
- and later we will go to the Mihintale Ancient site and We will go through 'Kaludiya Pokuna' (Black Water Pond) ancient Sri Lankan monastery.
