Luxor is situated in southern Egypt, on the east bank of the Nile River. Home to Thebes during the time of ancient Egyptian pharaohs' reign from 16th to 11th centuries B.C., its modern day incarnation contains two remarkable monuments: Luxor Temple and Karnak, a temple located about a mile away from it. Furthermore, there are royal tombs of Valley of Kings and Valley of Queens on the western bank of the river.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product:

Stop At: Luxor, Luxor, Nile River Valley

Day 1 tour to the West, Karnak Temple and Dendera Temple
In the morning the tour operator will collect you from your hotel in Luxor and take you to visit the Valley of the Kings. Here you will find numerous tombs of kings.
Afterwards, a stop at the statue of Memnon followed by a visit to Hatshepsut temple which lies on the western bank of Luxor. You will then move on to Karnak temple located in east bank; linked with Luxor Temple by Avenue of Rams running along its length.
You will then be taken to Dendera Temple in Qena; one of Egypt's largest and most famous temples. Inside this complex are some intriguing attractions such as The Temple of Birth Of Isis, The Holy Lake, Pharaonic Sanctuary, Second Birth House “Niketanibo” plus remains of a Coptic Church , Roman birth house , gates of Domitian , Trajan & Roman kiosk.
At last return back to your hotel again.
