The tower's construction began in 1172 and was completed in three stages over a period of 199 years. The tower, along with the nearby cathedral, baptistery, and cemetery, was designated as part of the Piazza del Duomo UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
This ticket allows you to visit all of the open monuments and museums in the square during their open hours, including the Tower. You can visit the Tower on the specified day and time. Due to matroneum restoration work, some areas within the Baptistery are closed.
