The museum dedicated to the work of the famous Russian artist Viktor Vasnetsov is located in the house where he lived with his family. The interiors of the house are designed in a national romantic spirit. The love of the techniques of ancient Russian architecture is combined here with the principles of the emerging at that time Art Nouveau.
The artist's studio is located on the second floor. Vasnetsov painted many famous works here and completed the "Bogatyrs". Among the paintings created in this house there are canvases that the artist himself called "the poem of seven fairy tales". They were inspired by the images of Russian folklore.
