Overview

    Hase-dera is an old temple that has existed since before the Kamakura era, and its history dates back to the Nara era and is said to have been built in 736 years.

    It was built with the eleven-faced Kannon statue by inviting Tokudo Shonin, the founder of Hasedera Temple of the same name in Nara Prefecture.

    It was said that The eleven-faced Kannon statue is carved from the same wood as the eleven-faced Kannon statue enshrined at Hase-dera Temple in Nara Prefecture.

    It is one of the largest wooden Buddha statues in Japan (9.18m in height).

    Itinerary:
    5 minutes : Start from San-mon
    15 minutes : Shoin : lecture about Shakyo
    20 minutes : Jizodo & Kannondo
    10 minutes : Kyozo & Observatory
    10 minutes : Q & A, Farewell greetings
