Come and discover with family or friends the magnificent Caves de Cureghem and the urban farm it houses. The cellars extend over approximately 10,000 m².
You will start the visit with an introductory film on mushrooms: what is their role in nature? what are their uses outside the kitchen?
Then you will dive into the world of mushroom production. You will have explanations on all the steps: mixing, bagging, pasteurization, sowing, incubation, fruiting and finally, harvesting.
You will end with the discovery of our microgreens. These are produced in several vertical farms, 5 meter high towers. Our young herbs and microgreens are grown using hydroponic techniques, which use up to 90% less water than conventional agriculture.
