Overview

When in Capri, don’t miss a visit to Villa San Michele - the splendid garden and residence built by the Swedish author and physician Axel Munthe in the 1890’s, on the ruins of an ancient Roman villa. Today his beautiful home is a museum, allowing you to stroll though the rooms where Munthe entertained the cultural, aristocratic and royal jet set of the 20th century. Villa San Michele also holds an important art collection of mainly Roman, Etruscan and Egyptian sculptures, placed in the enchanting and perfectly kept garden, one of the most renowned in Italy.

A visit to Villa San Michele with it's calm and beauty is a once in a lifetime experience!
