Overview

Set in the Souss Valley, Taroudant is a beautiful representation of Southern Morocco. Its souks and ancient heritage give it an undeniable charm. Upon arrival we explore the old Pasha's Palace before taking a stroll through the Medina to Assarag Square - a popular gathering spot for locals from neighboring villages and townspeople alike. Afterward, we journey to Tiout, just 20 minutes away. There lies an incredible palm grove, spanning several villages; atop its hill stands the kasbah of Tiout with breathtaking panoramic views that showcase both verdant and arid lands. To gain full appreciation of the oasis, hiring donkeys is highly encouraged; it's a great way to support the local economy too! Lunch offers traditional Berber dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. On our return trip back to Agadir, we'll take alternate routes so as to provide varied vistas during this excursion.

Taroudant - located approximately 80km southeast of Agadir. It is a medieval town nicknamed "the little Marrakech" and situated in the valley of Souss surrounded by the High Atlas and Anti-Atlas Mountains.

Tiout - an oasis about thirty kilometers from Taroudant; it's a Berber village at the foot of the Anti-Atlas with its stunning palm grove spreading between various villages featuring red ocher homes. On top of the hill sits the kasbah of Tiout offering picturesque panoramic views with its contrast between green and barren land.
