Walk through the identity of La Paz

Duration

clock2 hours 15 minutes

Overview

We will take a walk through the city while we talk about the people of La Paz, the socio-cultural context, the Aymara culture, the customs and the process of consolidation of the chola (pollera woman) as a symbol of identity. We will move to the Las Velas food space, where the cholas prepare anticuchos (grilled beef heart) until dawn. Then we will use private transportation to continue by Cable Car (cable car) to the city of El Alto, where we will taste a typical flaxseed drink (boiled infusion of flaxseeds). Once again we will go by cable car to a quieter neighborhood (Sopocachi) and we will walk to one of the best viewpoints of La Paz, where we will take El Inca bicervecina (national drink made from barley), we will toast with the Pachamama (traditional ritual of respect to this Andean deity), we will take pictures with the landscape of the La Paz night and we will make a round of short readings of national literature.
