What to Expect

    Join our local tour guide for a walking tour of Berat, a city known as the “city of a thousand windows” for its unique architecture. We’ll begin our tour at your hotel or at our office, and from there, we’ll head to the medieval center where you’ll see the King Mosque and the Helveti Teke, two of the city’s most interesting buildings. We’ll then stroll along the pedestrian street and stop at the new bridge, where you’ll enjoy a stunning view of the city. Next, we’ll make our way to the castle, the most fascinating area of Berat, rich in history, culture, and tradition. Our guide will show you the main monuments of the castle and share stories about the city’s past, architecture, and people. During our tour, we’ll also step into an Albanian house, where you’ll get to taste some Turkish coffee, homemade raki (a traditional Albanian liquor), and dessert. You’ll have the chance to chat with the locals and learn more about their way of life.
