Overview

    Learn about the history of the Warsaw Ghetto - the largest Jewish ghetto in Europe created by the German Nazis during the Second World War. Approximately 460 000 Jews were separated from the rest of the city. Around 100 000 people died of hunger, and 300 000 ghetto residents were killed in gas chambers in Treblinka.
    During this tour you will see 19th century Jewish apartment houses that survived World War II, fragments of the ghetto wall, abandoned tenements, the only surviving synagogue and different memorials related to the ghetto history and the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of 1943.
    Aftert this walk you will have better knowledge about one of the most tragic moments in the history of Jewish Nation. You will hear stories of specific people, famous artists, writers, fighters, people who managed to escape and people who struggled to avoid death, but couldn`t survive.
    This is a bike tour. The former Ghetto site is a really large area and this way we can see more.
