Overview

    Sizzling sausages, sumptuous fried potato cakes, Glühwein (mulled wine) and gingerbread: the magic of traditional German Christmas Markets will be casting you under its spell.  Its a dream of many to stroll the through an authentic German Christmas !

    Join me as we adventure to some to some of the best kept secret Christmas Markets beyond the bigger city of Frankfurt. We will be visiting traditional and romantic Christmas Markets where gifts are not mass-produced to find local craftwork of real quality. Enjoy wintery wines while the sun sets and the Christmas lights and cheery crowds spread delight.

    But with all the Christmas cheer you will be thirsty to try some of the best local wines. On this tour I combine a visit to 2 wineries to try many of the best German wines of the region. While perusing the markets we will try local traditional specialties like german style pizza, bratwurst or potato cakes.
    I guarantee you will be singing merry Christmas on the way back to your hotel!

What to Expect

    Do you love castles views, wine and cruising along the vines? A trip that mixes history, culture and wine... WUNDERBAR Then join a wine fuelled experience to the beautiful UNESCO Rhein valley and its surrounding wine regions. Climbs the steps through castle charming gardens and step inside Rhein romantic royalty from the 1600’s of the hidden gems of the Rhein. We will also visit charming old wine villages where we will find an opportunity for a quaint lunch stop and we will visit 2 historic wineries where you can learn about local mostly dry Riesling and Pinot varieties. During Dec there are also Christmas markets to stroll through for a real Glühwein Let me know if you have any special requests and I will customise the tour and while making new wine friends while traveling can be fun… I try to keep groups small and personal. I will provide some baked snacks and refreshments. The tour can also be made private on request. A seasonal fee may be requested.
