World Heritage in the southwest and experiments of the 1920s and 1960s - bus tour

Duration

clock3 hours

Overview

Berlin was always a pioneer in settlement construction. The variety of forms and methods of various architectural manuscripts and time courses can best be considered in comparison. One route at a time confronts different concepts of legendary Berlin architects such as Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Bruno Taut, Bruno Ahrens, Walter Gropius, Luckhardt & Anker, Mebes & Emmerich, Hugo Häring or Fehling / Gogel / Pfankuch. They all come together over theories and epochs, to build so that living is affordable, hygienic, airy and collectively to organize. The largely protected as a monument stock enjoys an exemplary, international reputation.

The stations of this bus tour are u.a. the experimental settlement Schorlemerallee, the settlement Uncle-Toms-Hütte and the student village Schlachtensee.
