Overview

    Cool Runnings is the only toboggan track in Africa,1.25 km long, and with sunny skies and warm weather, these bobsled definitely aren’t running on the traditional snow and ice. Instead, Cool Runnings bobsled run on wheels on a stainless steel track, each seating up to two people. Your ride starts with pulling you up to the top of the hill. From there, your sled is released and you’ll go flying down the track with 15 corners, S-bends and a tunnel. You can control your own speed, but adrenaline junkies can easily reach up to a whopping 40km/h. If you slow down before your are reaching the braking belt, you have nothing to worry about. 

    Cool Runnings Toboggan Family Park is just outside Cape Town, situated on the slopes of Tygervalley. The Park also boasts a large, covered terrace, yummy food and drink facilities and a bar, making it the perfect outdoor spot for corporate functions, team buildings, family outings and kid's parties.

What Cool Runnings DAY PASS - UNLIMITED RIDES - Includes?

  • Free Wi-fi, parking and entrance will be provided to you for your convenience.
  • You will be given a Day Pass, which is non-transferable and required by all participants and travellers.
  • Participants must have a minimum height of 1.35, and need to be at least 8 years old. From ages 3 to 7, they need to be accompanied by a person at least 15 years old. Children below the age of 3, pregnant women and people with physical complications are unfortunately not allowed to ride.
  • Cool Runnings will not be open in the event of poor weather conditions such as rain.
