Close by is the Charles Bridge, which crosses the Vltava River and was built in the 14th century. One of the most interesting sights in Prague is the Strahov Stadium. Despite not being in regular use the stadium is the second-largest in the world, holding 220,000 spectators, and is a relic from the communist era of the Czech Republic.

The weather in Prague is very cold in the winter and quite warm in the summer, with rain throughout the year. In the long winters, which last from November to mid-March the temperatures regularly drop below freezing, with January being the coldest month. The weather starts to get warmer in April, with the highest temperatures being seen in July, with an average of around 18C.
