Best Car Rental Singapore Airport

Quick Jump links to Singapore Airport

Singapore Changi International Airport is an ultra modern single Terminal airport that was built on reclaimed land to provide an efficient and welcoming entry to the city state of Singapore as well as serving as a transit hub on one of the busiest air travel routes in the world. The airport is home to Singapore Airlines, but is also used by most major carriers including Qantas and British Airways. Changi Airport is located in the extreme east of the city and is surrounded by the ocean, making arriving and departing from the airport one of the most spectacular experiences of Singapore.

Singapore Airport Car Hire Advice

Despite being so compact and densely populated, driving in the city of Singapore is surprisingly easy and relaxing. Although the roads do tend to get busy at peak times in the morning and afternoon, it is still possible to get around easily. Having a car in Singapore provides you with plenty of freedom to explore the different sights and sounds and prevents you needing to rely on the admittedly excellent public transport when exploring the different attractions or heading around the city for business meetings. Due to the high prices of transfers in Singapore, having your own car will often work out cheaper than pre booking organised transfers to your hotel.

Car Hire At Singapore Airport

As the whole of Changi Airport was built as a single project, all 3 of the main Terminal s share a single design for convenience, and at all of them the rental desks are located by the lower floor exits just after the baggage reclaim and passport areas. You can get car hire at Singapore Airport from Avis in Terminal 1, and both Avis and Hertz in Terminal s 2 and 3.

Driving Directions to Singapore Airport

Singapore Changi Airport was conceived as part of a wider transport strategy for the city, and as such is well served by major roads. From the main hotel area at Marine Parade, you would simply head East along the sea front passing the cruise Terminal s on the East Coast Parkway which leads directly to the main entrance gates to the airport. If you are based in the north of the island near Johor Bahru, then you would head south on the Bukit Timah Expressway towards Bukit where you join the Pan Island Expressway. This road takes you around the city centre right into the airport grounds.
