This Airport is also known as Benito Juárez International Airport and its situated at about 5 km east from Downtown Mexico City, at Peñón de los Beños within Venustiano Carranza. It holds the record for the busiest airport in Latin America and Mexico by both passenger traffic and aircraft movements. It serves both local and international passengers and cargo airlines and Ina year it handles over 50 million passengers. TERMINALS: The Mexico City International Airport has two passenger terminals which are 3 km apart and connected by runways and an aerotren monorail system.

Terminal 1: has 10 airside halls and 9 landside halls with 33 arrivals and departures gates and 11 mobile-lounges. Its gates are from 1 to 15,17 to 23 and 24 to 36, making a total of 33. It connects directly to about 5500 parking services for both domestic and international vehicles. Some say it's the largest airport terminal in America and the fourth largest terminal in the world.

Terminal 2: this terminal has a total of 23 gates, two airside halls for both local and international flights and 3 landside check in halls. It's a bit smaller than terminal one and it connects 3000 parking services for vehicles. Terminal 2 houses a number of airlines including, Delta Air Lines, Aeroméxico, Aeromar, Copa, LAN and Continental Airlines.

Restaurants and bars: La Taba Sports Bar, Salute, Taba Express, Maison Kayser, The Balloon, The Old Mill, Starbucks, China King, Sbarro, Scrawl, Cup Stop.

AIRPORT TO CITY

To connect the city from the airport you have options of metro buses and taxis. There are licensed companies providing transportation services, they include Porto Taxi, Room 300, New Image, Excellence, Comfort and Yellow Cab. Terminal 2 has a Metro station from where you can easily connect to Mexico City.

The Metro tickets cost about M$5 but to use this service you'll have to be travelling light; no heavy luggage. Alternatively, you can pay between M$100 to M$300 for a taxi. There's also an option of using local buses which are the cheapest ( between M$2- M$4) and there is a bus station located at the far right of Terminal 2 and another in Terminal 1 but local buses aren't allowed into airport.
