In a friendly discussion while drinking good coffee I will address issues that we rarely talk about. In particular: why Russia is an orthodox country, what is an icon, the particularity of orthodoxy, how the KGB has to use the church, the religion in the present life in Russia etc,
It is not a conference, rather anecdotes, that will make you better understand the real Russia.
Then we will visit the three most beautiful cathedrals of the city. We will learn the secrets of their architectures and the pages of history related to their construction. Inside we decipher the religious images, and attend the Orthodox worship. I will tell you about tzars whose fate is related to these buildings, and their roles in today's societies. We will go along Nevsky Avenue and I will tell you about the history of the city and its buildings. Our tour will end on the colonnade of St Isaac with the sweeping panoramic view of the entire city.
