What To Expect

On this tour, you'll be picked up from your hotel/Nile Cruise in Aswan by an air-conditioned vehicle and taken to the Abu Simbel Temple Complex. The two temples here are widely known for their unique style and considered masterpieces of ancient Egypt. To protect them from floods, the Egyptian government and UNESCO decided to cooperate in order to save these monuments. They are adorned with statues, hieroglyphics, chambers and more. The temple of Ramses II was dedicated to four universal gods - Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re - as well as a tribute to Ramses II himself; while the great Abu Simbel temple is also called the Sun Temple of Ramses II. The Temple of Queen Nefertari is also known as the Temple of Hathor (wife of the Sun God), thus symbolically bringing all together into one place. After taking in this incredible sight, you will then be transferred back to your hotel/Nile Cruise in Aswan.
